The hotel was fantastic. Rooms were large and comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and finished to a high standard. The hotel is in a fantastic area. We orginally booked to stay in an apartment in the Old Town but had to cancel becuase of the volcanic disruptions, however the Jewish quarter turned out to be the best place to stay. It had the best restaurants and bars and was much cheaper than the Old Town. The Old Town has become popular with stag parties whereas the Jewish quarter retains its quaint charm and cheap prices. Loved every minute and would definately return to the same hotel.
Breakfast was a bit too continental for me as I am not a great lover of cheese and salad for breakfast. However it did provide some humour watching the other english tourists faces when they saw their was no english breakfast. They did have cereal, yogurt and a wide variety of herbal teas.
position of hotel because the neghbor is the cemetries. Noisy
Friendly service, exellent breaktfast, super location.
Earplugs may be necessary if room to the street (noisy passers-by)
I found the Staff to be very courteous and friendly.Reception staff excellent in everyway.Breakfast was beautifully presented and abundant. Our first time in Poland and it was a great experience ,would return especially to this hotel. An all round good value hotel
The hotel staff was very friendly, and the hotel itself was very cozy, simple but very cozy. It is located in one of the key locations of the Jewish district, in a very quiet street but only some steps away from super nice (and good value!) restaurants.
Friendly staff - use of computer free - nice sauna and great location.
I got a call to say that credit card machine was not working - which meant I had to withdraw 800 pln - I was intending to pay this off next month after Xmas - so I was annoyed that I had to do this when clearly it was not my fault - I went for breakfast first day and after that I missed next 4 days.......bread stale - cheese was awful - cheap orange juice and terrible coffee / my room was at front of hotel so noisy at weekend and also walls must be thin as I could hear next room in detail - even their visits to toilet - not nice.....avoid this room. Staff were very nice though and made the stay bearable.......shame about the money situation and take heed - sauna not cheap and local tax a bit sketchy too.,
Staff were very friendly and very helpful when I had my flight cancelled. Helped me book another flight and allowed me to keep the room til 5pm.
Breakfast a bit fussy with lots of cheese etc. not quite suited to English or French tastes, but plenty available.
The staff were all exceptionally helpful and gave us advice about sights in the cities and recommendations for restaurants. The location was perfect for both getting to the old town on foot and exploring the Jewish Quarter. The free internet was an added bonus. Nice to have Spa facilities available.
You wouldn't enjoy breakfast if you don't like cheese.
The location of the hotel is excellent .Hotel Eden is in the heart of the old jewish district.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good
The restaurant and bar was closed. The mini bar had been emptied and not in use. All of these things were said to be included during our stay. Breakfast was okay but all cheese, would have liked some meats.
Hotel Eden was a fabulous experience. The hotel was full of character and charm, with such a feeling of history. Clean, lovely breakfast downstairs, helpful staff, and good location in Kazimierz which is very interesting. I didn't mind the walk in to the city centre and did it sometimes several times a day- not far. I'd certainly stay again- hope to!
- the rooms were big, very clean and had nice furniture; the staff was very polite, attentive and spoke good English.
- the location of the hotel is a bit difficult to find and it was noisy because of the works in progress in that neighbourhood.
the hotel staff were very helpful with suggestions for trips, booking taxis and information about the area.
Very convenient location, close to transport links and walking distance to Wawel and Rynek Glowny.
Uncomfortable bed and old pillows.
Hotel Eden has a very relaxed yet professional feel to it. The staff are very friendly and were great in organising 2 trips for us. The cellar for brealfast is great. A really interesting hotel in an interesting part of Krakow.
